Specialty Slabs American Woodyards offers a variety of slabs for your woodworking needs. Typically the wood is rough sawn 8/4 and 16/4, allowed to air-dry 8-12 months, and then kiln dried. We stock slabs in several different species, specializing in ambrosia maple (pictured), and walnut. We recommend you stop by during normal business hours to browse our inventory with one of our staff, or call for pricing and availability.
Custom Lumber
We offer a variety of custom cut lumber. The source of the wood is from the local area, and we personally select the logs we cut. We offer kiln-dried, air-dried, and green lumber. Cut on-site, our products are used for cabinets, furniture, fencing, trailer beds, and many other woodworking needs. We also provide a variety of beams, brackets, corbels, and specialized flooring for custom homebuilders. A 50% deposit is required on all custom lumber orders. Wood Flooring and Ceilings
American Woodyards supplies beautiful native flooring/ceiling material, giving a unique look unlike that of mass produced products. The wood can be cut into any widths. We recommend Black Walnut and/or Ambrosia Maple, however it can be milled out of any species.

Mantel Fireplace Slabs
If you are looking for a unique piece for your fireplace, then take the time to see what we offer. We can provide you the wood in kiln dried slab form, or customize it into your desired finished product. We have a wood working shop on site and will tailor the wood to your specifications, along with corbels if needed. With all kinds of species to choose from, you will likely find what you are looking for here. Please contact us for species availability and pricing.
Firewood (local delivery only)
Thank you for your interest in our firewood. All of the wood is red oak, white oak, and hickory. We have seasoned and green, all split on a processor to lengths of 16"-18". Feel free to stop by during business hours or call us to schedule a delivery!
Pricing for pick-up is $.05/lb
Delivery is as follows:
- True Full Chord-$180
- True Half Chord-$100
**Any delivery over 15 miles requires an additional $20 fee**
